These are monthly subscription boxes for various anime content, each of which does include figures! Yes, figures! I have quite a collection going of many different figures, and have been a subscriber of these services for over a year.
The Otaku Box has been a great box. You can level up your subscription simply by remaining a subscriber for 3, 6, and 12 months. After 3 months, and again after 6 months, you get a certificate and a special addition to your box for that month. Once you have been a subscriber for 12 months, you receive a certificate and special addition to every box each month you remain a subscriber! Support is awesome, shipping hasn't always been the best, but Liz does make sure to take note and listen to her subscribers. I have always had great service from The Otaku Box and am never disappointed.
Wall scrolls, t-shirts, pins, wallets, lanyards, bookmarks, acrylic stands, die cut stickers, and of course figures! Every box comes with a wide assortment of products. Every box I have received has a wall scroll, button, and t-shirt, all with the same artwork (scroll and button are ecchi content if you sign up for that option), a die cut sticker, as well as a 1:6 or 1:7 scale prize figure! There are more goodies typically in the box, for a total of 7-9 items per box! The price is worth the t-shirt and figure, alone, so all the rest is just pure goodness!
I have received figures from RWBY, High School DxD, RE:Zero, Rising of the Shield Hero, That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime, Fate/Apocrypha, and more!
This is the only box with a legit ecchi option! You also have a chance to vote monthly on the next figure and artwork!
Another great thing about The Otaku Box is that you can pause your subscription. If you cancel, you lose your level status and any associated rewards, but if you pause your subscription, you will stop receiving your box and stop billing, but you can restart at any time and pick up where you left off with your level status.
Lootaku has some top quality pieces! Like TOP quality. I have received some awesome figures from anime like One Piece, Naruto, Dragon Ball Super, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Girls Und Panzer, and so many others!
Like The Otaku Box, you will receive at least 1 figure (some boxes have 2... yes TWO full size 1:6 or 1:7 scale figures!), a t-shirt, and many goodies! I have a miniature anime sword collection thanks to this crate! The treasure chest style box that gets shipped each month is great for storing your figure boxes. This box has treated me to extra goodies ranging from my own Death Note journal, complete with names from the entire series, backpacks, ballpoint pens, custom pins, plushes, and more!
This box is prepaid, and you have different options to prepay.
COVID has impacted Lootaku shipments, but Lootaku has always been fair on ensuring we get the boxes we pay for. Support is solid, and you're likely to get quick responses through their Facebook page or on Facebook Messenger.
Even though shipments are still frozen due to COVID, I still recommend you check them out. I am really looking forward to their business coming back in full swing!
